The Montana Historical Society has chosen The Dive Bakery to run Norm's Café, the first café on the Montana capitol complex, located in the new Montana Heritage Center.

The Dive Bakery, a well-known Helena business, will offer its famous pastries and coffee at this location while continuing operations at its 11th Avenue site.

The café pays tribute to Norm Asbjornson, a local success story whose donation funded the café and the Mine Shaft Experience exhibit.

Norm's Café will provide visitors with various seating options and stunning views of the Sleeping Giant mountain.

The Montana Heritage Center will open on December 3, showcasing the state's history through interactive exhibits.

Quote Of The Day

"Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it." - Charles R. Swindoll

Cascade County detention officers are going above and beyond their usual duties to help families in need during the holiday season.

Through the Santa's Favorite Correctional Officers program, they provide discounted gift cards, organize fundraisers, and purchase presents for children who require assistance.

Led by Corporal Brandi Monks, the initiative has grown each year, supporting more children in the community.

The officers volunteer their time to collect wish lists, sell discount cards, and raise funds.

With plans to expand the program year-round, they aim to assist families with various needs beyond just holiday gifts.

Information about events and success stories can be found on the group's Facebook page.

A significant donation from Twin Hills Colony in Carter has provided the Chouteau County Food Bank with 1,614 pounds of ground pork, equivalent to roughly 6,400 meals for families in need.

The Producer Partnership facilitated the donation, which aims to support local communities by providing high-quality protein sourced from Montana-raised livestock.

With a growing need for food assistance in the state, collaborations like this are vital in addressing food insecurity.

The Chouteau County Food Bank, serving over 100 families, will benefit from the donation, with surplus meat going to other food banks in neighboring towns and being included in holiday food baskets.
